In response to "Delegation unlikely to be swayed on gun ban," I am disappointed that Congress is being held hostage by the National Rifle Association. The NRA's A-to-F legislator grade seems to carry a lot of weight.
Our Alaska delegates say we need to respond to the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy with mental health services, not gun control. I doubt they have thought about a potential bad grade from a national mental health organization. We need to disarm this country's powerful gun lobby and advocate for less violence in our homes, schools, and communities.
