Bear Tooth books Motion City Soundtrack for its birthday party

To any Motion City Soundtrack fans looking for something to do on a Thursday night, mark April 18 on your calenders. The Minnesota-based pop-rock band will play Bear Tooth's 13th anniversary party, with doors opening to the public at 8 p.m., an opener at 9 p.m. and the band you paid to see on stage at 10 p.m. It'll cost you $30 to get in, but junior will be left out. It's a 21-and-older show.

Tickets are on sale now at beartooththeatre.net, along with tickets to the junior-friendly Michael Franti show. He'll also be on hand to sign copies of his children's book, "Where in the World Is Away," 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7. Tickets are $25. The 21-and-older First Tap concert later that night is sold out.
