We came to Alaska for adventure and the opportunity to join the middle class. When we arrived, we encountered politicians of stature, such as Gov. Jay Hammond. He made it clear that he represented all Alaskans. He helped us and many others find both adventure and opportunity. He wanted to share the wealth of this amazing state with those who chose to live, work and raise their families here. Gov. Jay Hammond was all about expanding opportunities for Alaskans. In his Alaska there was room for the entrepreneurs, the workers and the managers and he expected them to work together.
If we continue to elect politicians such as Mayor Sullivan, whose vision is as narrow as his policies, we will all be the worse for it.
