University Advancement hires new assistant vice chancellor for alumni relations

Vice Chancellor Megan Olson announced Monday that Rachel Morse, MBA '08, has accepted the position of assistant vice chancellor for alumni relations at UAA. Rachel, who earned her master's degree from UAA's College of Business and Public Policy, has been serving as interim director for alumni relations at UAA since July 2012. During her tenure as interim director, Rachel helped guide UAA's alumni relations program through the implementation of a new operating structure, including the development of a new UAA alumni association and the seating of a new Board of Directors.

Prior to taking on the interim director role at UAA, Rachel served as the development director for RURAL CAP and as the executive director for the Bird Treatment and Learning Center in Anchorage. Rachel has more than 13 years of management-level experience in statewide Alaska organizations, eight of which included executive leadership positions.

A co-founder of the MBA alumni club, Rachel has been involved at UAA since her graduation in 2008, and she's proud to call herself a Seawolf.
