1 arrested after Mountain View assault leaves man in critical condition

Anchorage Police are investigating an assault after finding an unconscious man with life-threatening injuries lying in an alley near Mountain View, according to a press release from the Anchorage Police Department.

The injured man, 40, was found around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday between North Flower and North Klevin streets. Medics took him to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Witnesses say the injured man hit his head on the pavement after being punched in the face by another man, later identified as Joshua Lambert, 23, police say.

Lambert was arrested and charged with assault. He was remanded to the Anchorage Jail with no bail.
