Man, 44, found dead in alley off Fireweed Lane

Anchorage police have identified a man whose body was found Thursday morning in a Midtown alley as Theodore Hendrickson, 44, of Anchorage. Police are conducting a death investigation, said spokeswoman Dani Myren. His next of kin has been notified, police said.

Hendrickson was found behind the 2700 block of Ingra Street near Fireweed Lane. Police got a call before 11:45 a.m. from a woman who saw what appeared to be a dead person outside her home, Myren said. Police arrived and confirmed the man was dead.

"It doesn't appear to be suspicious in nature," Myren said.

Myren said she didn't have any further information on the circumstances including whether he had been drinking or was ill.
