UAA celebrates its green and gold spirit, honors Alumni of Distinction at the 4th annual Green and Gold Gala Sept. 28

The University of Alaska Anchorage and the UAA Alumni Association are gearing up for the 4th annual Green & Gold Gala on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Hotel Captain Cook.

This black-tie evening with green and gold flair brings UAA alumni and friends together to celebrate alumni achievements and university successes and to raise funds for student scholarships.

The 2013 Alumni of Distinction will also be honored at the event for their outstanding contributions to the university and community.

The inaugural Green & Gold Gala in 2010 raised nearly $30,000 in scholarship support for UAA students. Last year's event raised nearly $80,000.

UAA alumni and community members are invited to attend this year's Gala and further the support for scholarships. The event includes a champagne reception beginning at 6:30 p.m. followed by a dinner, award program and select live auction.
