Letter: Exposure to violence hurts for life

Many thanks to the Governor's Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault for recognizing early education programs and their role in the prevention of children's exposure to domestic violence. We know that exposure during the early years can severely impact a child for the rest of his/her life. Moreover, the presence of domestic violence in a child's life not only hurts the child but causes a ripple effect, impacting society as well.

Community and program collaboration is essential as we work towards prevention. Our continued efforts in providing each child the opportunity to thrive and families the empowerment to succeed are strengthened through your support. Thank you.
