Letter: Decline of kings worrisome

I'm a 60-year resident of Alaska and have enjoyed hunting and fishing since I was 10 years old. I have a residence on the Kenai River where I intend to retire and live starting July 2014. I am concerned with the continued decline of king salmon in the Kenai area and hope our resource managers are aware and have a management plan to turn this around.

The Cook Inlet fishery is a valuable source of income to many lives, not just in the commercial, sport, and guide industries, but also to the service and retail industries of the peninsula. Let's keep the resource strong and renewed.
