Christianson 9th in GS

Kieffer Christianson of Anchorage finished ninth in the men's giant slalom Friday at the U.S. Alpine Championships in Squaw Valley, Calif.

Christianson was clocked for a combined time of 2 minutes, 27.06 seconds in two runs. He skied the 11th-fastest first run and the eighth-fastest second run.

Tim Jitloff of Reno, Nev., won the event in 2:22.45.

Hampton Miller won a three-round decision over Fuahau Ulukivaiola in the heavyweight main event at the Egan Center, but that was one of only two bouts that went the distance in seven bouts at Thursday Night at the Fights.
