Perryville man accused of assault, pointing rifle at 2 people

A Perryville man was arrested Thursday for allegedly assaulting one person and pointing a loaded hunting rifle at another two, the Alaska State Troopers said in an online dispatch Sunday.

A King Salmon-based trooper heard about an alleged assault in the Alaska Peninsula community of Perryville on Thursday, the dispatch said. Troopers investigating arrested Steven Phillips, 28, and took him to the King Salmon jail.

He awaits arraignment on charges of assault and reckless endangerment.
