Monday's Games
Pilots 4, Bucs 1
Ray Guerrini and Nikko Saenz smacked home runs to help the Pilots top the Bucs 4-1 at Mulcahy Stadium.
Chinooks 10, Miners 7
The Chinooks scored five runs in the ninth inning but fell short, dropping a 10-7 contest to Miners in Palmer. Kyle Conkle went 3 for 4 with two RBIs to lead the Chinooks. All six Miners who registered hits had at least two for a total of 13.
The Chinooks game scheduled for Tuesday against the Miners was canceled due to rain and will not be rescheduled because it was a preseason game.
Oilers 6, Seals 3
Carter Yagi and A.J. Hernandez had three hits apiece to lead the Oilers past San Francisco 6-3 in Kenai.
Sunday's games
pilots 9, Bucs 4, Game 1
Bucs, 1, Pilots 0, Game 2
The Pilots used a five-run fourth inning to down the Bucs 9-4 in the first of two seven-inning games at Mulcahy. The Bucs held the Pilots to just two hits to eke out a 1-0 win in the second game.
In Game 1, Alex Maloney went 2 for 4 to lead the Pilots, and Chane Lynch racked up three RBIs for the Bucs.
Garrett Copeland drove in the only run in the second game, a seventh-inning single that scored Jonathan Youngblood.
Miners 6, Chinooks 3
Chugiak committed five errors in a 6-3 loss to the Miners at Loretta French Park. Cameron Frost had two hits and two RBIs for the Miners, who got two hits from Dayne Wunderlich.
Oilers 9, Seals 0
The Oilers scored nine runs on five hits in a 9-0 shutout against the Seals, who committed three errors.
