ECHL announces the playoff format we said it would

Just as some donkey wrote a couple days ago -- roll call! The donkey is manning this keyboard -- the ECHL after taking on seven teams from the Central Hockey League has split the circuit into four divisions. The top four teams in each division will make the 2015 Kelly Cup playoffs.

The league announced all that a few minutes ago.

The Alaska Aces, reigning Kelly Cup champs, will play in the seven-team Pacific Division with Bakersfield, Colorado, Idaho, Ontario, Stockton and Utah.

The donkey didn't have a crystal ball, it should be noted. Aces managing member Terry Parks said this was the way it would break down.
