No surprise: UAA's Cameron WCHA Offensive Player of the Week

No surprise about the WCHA's Offensive Player of the Week -- tough to ignore a four-goal game.

UAA senior captain/winger Brett Cameron bagged the honor Monday after piercing Bemidji State for four goals in a 4-4 tie Saturday at Sullivan Arena.

Cameron entered the game with one goal in 14 games -- and, as he reminded us, an empty-netter, at that. Against the Beavers, though, he scored on a short-handed breakaway, during 5 on 5 play, 4 on 4 play and on a power play to snap the Seawolves' long streak of man-advantage futility.

Cameron scored his four goals on five shots -- we'll forgive him for the shot he somehow failed to get past Andrew Walsh.

Cameron leads the Seawolves in goals with five.
