AACCC Adoption of the Week: Meet April

Here's Anchorage Animal Care and Control's Adoption of the Week, courtesy of AACCC Public Relations Coordinator Laura Atwood:

Oh little April, you have stolen our hearts. April came to us as a very frightened stray. She hid in the back of her kennel, shaking. Officer Lizz Gray, husky lover, was able to coax April to her and then treated her to a weekend at home to help her past her fright. Little April was a different dog once in a home: she curled up by the fireplace for a nap, walked with Officer Gray and her husky, Kona, ran from the scary cat, and proved herself to be house-trained and kennel-trained (slept in her kennel all night). April has bonded with both Officer Gray and our Volunteer Coordinator, Megan, and once she bonds…she bonds. As Officer Gray said "she is a shadow". April will rise to her potential in a home that understands a dog that wants to be glued to her family and is willing to work with her on separation anxiety. April can be adopted for $152 which includes a microchip, vaccines, MOA license, and a deposit on her spay surgery.
