For the second year in a row, Da'Zhon Wyche of West and Ruthy Hebard of West Valley were named the Class 4A Players of the Year in basketball.
The Cook Inlet Conference of Anchorage dominated the boys' selections, boasting four of the five first-team picks.
Joining Wyche on the team were Nathan Fromm of Service, Moses Miller of East and Bentiu Panoam, Bartlett. West Valley's Daniel Hornbuckle was the lone non-Anchorage first-teamer.
Three more Anchorage players earned second-team honors -- Alex Adams of South, Eric Jenkins of Dimond and Marquis White of East. Alec Canete-Hall of East was a third-team pick.
Hebard, who will play Division I basketball at Oregon, was joined on the girls' first team by two Wasilla players and two CIC players.
Leya DePriest and Olivia Davies represent powerhouse Wasilla. Other first-teamers are Dimond's Alissa Pili and Chugiak's Nicole Pinckney.
In Class 3A, Barrow and Grace Christian each landed two boys on the first team – Kamaka Hepa and
Travis Adams for Barrow and Tobin Karlberg and Trevor Osborne for Grace.
Hepa and Homer's Madison Akers were the Class 3A Players of the Year.
The Class 2A Players of the Year were Kylie Wallace of Petersburg and Ben Enlow of Unalaska.
In Class 1A, top honors went to Megan Hickman of Nikolaevsk and Fritz Jackson of Akiachiak.
All-state selections were determined by coaches from across the state, who voted for players within their own class.
