'Dead Files' TV show to feature Alaskan ghosts

According to the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, Amy Allen and Steve Di Schiavi, of the Travel Channel's paranormal themed series "The Dead Files," chose Circle, Alaska for an upcoming episode. The TV show picked the purportedly haunted resort building at Circle Hot Springs for its own paranormal investigation, resulting in an episode dubbed "Arctic Wrath."

The Circle Hot Springs resort, located 137 miles northeast of Fairbanks, is said to be home to a multitude of "presences," but that a lady ghost is most prominent. Apparently, the resident spirits do not like renovations or additions and are notorious for moving beers, walking on the front porch and canvassing rented cabins.

Bob Miller and his wife Laverna have owned the property for more than 30 years. According to the Fairbanks Daily News Miner, "The Dead Files" crew were at the hot spring for several days filming the show. Laverna Miller told the News-Miner she feels there is "definitely a presence" in the old hotel building.

"Arctic Wrath" is set to air at 9 p.m. Alaska time on the Travel Channel, July 20. For more at the Fairbanks News-Miner, click here.
