Event: Aviators invited to meet Lake Hood manager at upcoming meeting

Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport will hold an ANC stakeholders meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 7 beginning at 3 p.m.

The scheduled agenda may vary, but will look something like:

  • Sign-in and introductions to begin followed by the introduction of Lake Hood's newest manager, Tim Coons.
  • Discussion of future outlook-- including cargo and passenger traffic, Icelandair's 2013 arrival and the EPA Aircraft & Airfield deicing chemical restrictions-- and business outlook-- including traffic trends, revenue sources and expense control and 2013's construction agenda.
  • Upon recommencement, public involvement-- including Master Plan Update, Part 105 noise study, West Anchorage District Plan (WADP) and Communications Plans-- will be addressed, followed by discussion of planed events, miscellaneous topics and Stake holder comments.

The meeting is open to the general public and will be held at the Anchorage Airport Manager's Conference Room, 5000 West International Airport Road, 4th floor. For more information visit the State of Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) here.

Correction: An earlier version of this article listed that concessions would be provided by Grizzly Pizza and Silver Gulch. That was incorrect. We apologize for the mistake.
