Missing 11-year-old Anchorage boy found at friend's house

Update: 2:45 p.m. Tuesday:

Anchorage police found Nathan Turpin, the 11-year-old who went missing Tuesday, at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday. Turpin was unharmed at a friend's house on Scottie Court in Oceanview, according to police spokeswoman Anita Shell.

The Anchorage Police Department had issued a missing persons notice for 11-year-old Nathan Turpin on Tuesday.

The Anchorage Police Department has issued a missing persons notice for 11 year old Nathan Turpin. Turpin is an Alaska Native boy who weighs 100 pounds and stands 5-foot tall. He was last seen at the 2000 block of Steeple Drive in South Anchorage on Tuesday, around 10 a.m. He contacted a friend at 5 p.m. that day, but has not been seen or heard from since.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Nathan Turpin are asked to call Anchorage Police at 786-8500.
