Alaska State Troopers say a Delta Junction woman hit the outlaw driver trifecta Thursday.
According to trooper reports, it all started when 32-year-old Beth A. Knopp was spotted "swerving on the roadway." A trooper pulled her over.
According to the report, "Knopp failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for driving under the influence."
After this, a trooper noticed Knopp had scored two other charges as well: texting while driving and possessing an open container of alcohol.
"She was also charged with Driving While Operating a Screen Device," troopers reported, "and was cited for (the) open container."
Whether the swerving was related to drinking or texting is likely to be determined in court. Recent studies have concluded that texting drivers have even more trouble than drunk drivers controlling their vehicles.
