Politico, the D.C. news outfit, has gone over Sarah Palin's political action committee and found it has taken its fundraising to a higher level.

The report, filed with the Federal Election Commission, shows that Palin's political action committee raised more money in the second quarter of this year -- $866,000 -- than it had in any previous three-month stretch since Palin formed the group in January 2009.
SarahPAC gave $5,000 to Joe Miller, a Fairbanks attorney who is aiming to knock off U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski in the Republican primary, according to Bloomberg, but gave $5,000 to Murkowski last year before Miller entered the race.
