Basketball fans will have plenty of chances to cheer on the UAA men's team this season.
UAA's first game at its new home will be the annual Green and Gold game Oct. 18. The Seawolves host two games against Concordia (Oregon) for their regular-season opener Nov. 7-8.
Concordia will play in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference starting in the 2015-16 season. The NCAA Division II Membership Committee still needs to approve the action during its annual meeting Monday and Tuesday.
Concordia will be the 11th full-time school in the GNAC, joining UAA, UAF, Central Washington, Montana State Billings, Northwest Nazarene, Saint Martin's, Seattle Pacific, Simon Fraser, Western Oregon and Western Washington.
The GCI Great Alaska Shootout is set for Nov. 26-29 and the UAA Jamboree will be held Dec. 12-13.
The Seawolves will ring in 2015 with a New Year's Day game against Simon Fraser – one of nine home games in 2015.
Montana State-Billings will host the GNAC championships this season but the site of the West Region tournament was undetermined Friday.
UAA finished 17-13 last season – its ninth straight winning season – losing in the opening round of the GNAC tournament.
