Man injured in West Anchorage shooting, police say

A man was injured in a Spenard shooting near Willow Street and West 36th Avenue on Friday, and Anchorage police are looking for someone they described as a “person of interest.”

The man’s injuries were not life-threatening, according to police.

Police said in an alert that they are looking for 21-year-old Ravon Tanner, who was thought to have been in the area at the time of the shooting. Police released a photo of Tanner and described him as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, and said he was last seen in a light-colored tank top, dark pants, a black hat and slippers.

Police asked anyone with information about Tanner’s location to call dispatch at 911, or contact Crime Stoppers at anchoragecrimestoppers.com to remain anonymous.
