Boogie tunes in Anchorage this week: Hot Dish, International Guitar Night and Clinton Fearon

International Guitar Night — The mobile guitar festival is returning to Anchorage after selling out last season. There will be a brand-new lineup of guitarists that highlight the diversity of the acoustic guitar, including Olli Soikkeli, Luca Sticagnoli, Antoine Boyer, Jim “Kimo” West and Cenk Erdogan. $42-$58. 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Discovery Theatre, 621 West Sixth Ave., Ste. Hot Dish and HWY9 — Hot Dish is a newgrass band based in Anchorage. The addition of Dan Harter on the banjo is an extra helping of twang to their piping hot performances. Femmes Love STEM — Organizers invited interested womxn to “geek out” about science, technology, engineering and math at a potluck gathering. Discuss science issues that get you excited and share new discoveries. Bring a side dish, soup will be provided. Free, $5 parking for nonmembers. Clinton Fearon and The Boogie Brown Band — Jamaican-born Fearon has been a professional composer, songwriter, singer and bassist since he was a teenager.
