Two men robbed an armored car at a bank in East Anchorage on Wednesday, according to the Anchorage Police Department and the FBI, who are searching for the suspects.

At 11:20 a.m., Anchorage police responded to reports of an armored car being robbed at the Wells Fargo branch on DeBarr Road. Two armed black men robbed the truck in the parking lot, APD said in a release, which included two photos of the suspects.

An FBI press release said the men walked up to the back of the truck, showed their guns and took an undisclosed amount of cash. They then left on foot toward Kelly Circle, behind the bank, the FBI said.

The FBI is leading the investigation. Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to call the FBI at 907-276-4441 or APD at 907-786-8900. You can also give an anonymous tip at anchoragecrimestoppers.com or 907-561-STOP.
