Letter: Doing what’s necessary

Thank you to Mayor Ethan Berkowitz for doing what needs to be done to stem the resurgence in COVID-19 cases and deaths. I'm glad there is someone out there with enough backbone to take the heat.

Much as I sympathize with restaurant and bar owners who are desperately trying to keep their businesses afloat, the answer is not to pretend we can get back to business as usual. It is to provide the support business owners and their employees need in these difficult times. If you want to get mad at someone, start by calling Senate Republicans, including Sen. Dan Sullivan, to ask why they've done nothing for the past three months.
