I read the article on finding a location for, and the cost of, a snow dump in Tuesday’s paper.
Why not think out of the box and come up with a snow melt system? Possibly at the old solid waste transfer station.
Snow would be dumped as the trash is now, and pushed into a heated furnace type pit. Haul the water to a lagoon. This could be filtered at some point. I’m sure our local community and engineers could come up with a better plan than losing a 32-acre tract of wilderness and wetland.
