Letter: No debate winners

I am amazed and horrified that any American can claim to see a “winner” of the first presidential debate of 2024. The media is pushing a Donald Trump triumph and repeating over and over Joe Biden’s failures. I guess if you say it enough, people will believe it.

Trump’s claim to debate success is based on ridiculous face-making, absolute untruths, avoiding questions with rambling drivel, and looking “stronger” than his opponent while simultaneously exposing himself as less intelligent than Biden.

Does this really reflect America, or Alaska? With two elderly politicians, one with a flu/cold, the other with an unconscionable ego, as the only major party choices being thrust at us, you could argue that no one wins, and America loses.
