What do you want to ask Alaska candidates for Congress and governor? What issues do you care most about?

This is a big election year in Alaska. Among the many things on the ballots in August and November: U.S. House, U.S. Senate and governor.

As part of our coverage, we will be asking candidates for those three races a set of detailed issue questions and will publish their answers. We want and need your help. What issues are important to you and Alaska? What specific questions would you pose to all of the candidates in each of the races to help distinguish them from each other?

The idea is different questions for each of the three races -- U.S. House, U.S. Senate and governor -- but the same questions to each of the candidates within each race. (We expect to have a separate group of questions a little later for candidates running for the Alaska Legislature.)

Beyond that, what issues are important to you?
