Prep volleyball roundup: Wins for Dimond, South, Bartlett, East

Bartlett 3, West 1

Two Golden Bears recorded double-doubles and Bartlett defeated West in four sets Tuesday in a Cook Inlet Conference volleyball match at West.

Bartlett downed West 25-18, 16-25, 25-22, 25-12.

Leanna Atafua boosted Bartlett with 27 assists and 14 digs, and Pa'ia Togagae reeled off 14 kills, 10 digs and five aces.

Violet Togagae added 20 digs for the Golden Bears.

West was spurred by Jackie Suka's nine aces and Kelsey Ross' 28 assists.

Dimond 3, Eagle River 0

Senior Brynn Sulte racked up 15 kills in three sets and Dimond swept Eagle River on Senior Night in CIC volleyball action Tuesday at Dimond.

The Lynx won 25-15, 25-11, 25-11 behind the 6-foot-2 middle blocker.

Setters Teuila Lolotai (13 assists, 7 digs) and Hahni Johnson (11 assists) directed the Lynx attack.

Maya Carle added 13 digs and Alissa Pili supplied six kills and 10 digs for Dimond.

South 3, Service 0

South overcame a close second set to sweep Service in a Tuesday CIC volley match at Service.

Emilye Grace Williams led the Wolverines with 10 kills in the 25-7, 25-23, 25-7 win.

Emma Kleven (9 digs, 18 assists) and Sarina Mancari (7 digs, 3 aces) also fueled South.

Karisa Davis (7 kills, 8 digs) and Julia Fetko (14 assists) paced Service.

East 3, Chugiak 1

East snagged 13 aces and the Thunderbirds powered past the Mustangs in four sets Tuesday in a CIC volleyball showdown at Chugiak.

Celeste Filoialii led the T-birds with four aces and 11 digs and East won 25-22, 25-13, 21-25, 25-17.

Celia Sheppard (40 assists) Karlee Lynd (11 digs) and Kyla Liufau (28 digs) also chipped in for East.

Chugiak was led by Karlie Jones (10 kills, 7 digs) and Emily Moorehead (10 kills, 5 blocks).
