The bright yellows, oranges and reds of autumn are sweeping through the region as the fall equinox approaches.

Autumn colors are becoming vibrant, high and low, around Southcentral Alaska as fall equinox approaches. Friday, Sept 22 is when the nights and days are equal all over the globe. It also marks the time when nights grow quickly for Alaskans on their way through autumn and into winter.
