President Trump tweets encouragement to Alaska after earthquake

JUNEAU — Attending the meeting of the G20 nations in Buenos Aires, Argentina, President Donald Trump took to Twitter to offer his thoughts.

“To the Great people of Alaska. You have been hit hard by a “big one.” Please follow the directions of the highly trained professionals who are there to help you. Your Federal Government will spare no expense. God Bless you ALL!” he wrote.

Presidential press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, also via Twitter, that the president had been briefed about the disaster.
